I’m a retired academic with a life-long interest and engagement with progressive politics and Zionism. I helped establish the Yorkshire & Humberside branch back in 2019 and we held our first meeting in Leeds, Dec 2019, shortly after the disastrous general election. I’ve been advocating for Israel throughout my adult life, and fighting antisemitism and anti-zionism in my union (Universities and Colleges) while I was in employment. I’m very happy to be appointed Chair and look forward to working with colleagues more widely in the coming months.
