Cathy Ashley - National Treasurer

Cathy Ashley has served as JLM's treasurer since 2018. She has held constituency and branch positions within the Labour Party and served as a Lambeth councillor for 8 years during the turbulent 1990s. In her local community, she also chaired Lambeth's Early Years and Childcare Partnership and helped set up a community comprehensive school. 

Cathy is chief executive of the national Charity Family Rights Group. In the past she worked in local government, set up the Parliamentary Labour Party’s economic unit under Gordon Brown MP and served as an economic adviser to the Labour Party.

Cathy was chair of the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust for 6 years and continues to sit on their advisory board. She was awarded an OBE in 2017 for her services to Holocaust remembrance.
